Corporate Partnership: A "Win-Win"
E CITY relies upon funds from individuals, foundations and businesses. Corporate Partners offer volunteer and financial support. Funds pay for teacher stipends, training, books, "Biz Bags" with student supplies, $50 for each student to start a business, newspapers and field trips.
Dean Mueller, president of Dealer Tire, a long-time Corporate Partner, explains why he helps: "I'm an entrepreneur myself. These are great kids and this program makes a huge difference. I've seen it. How can I not help? My employees and I love 'giving back.' Volunteering also helps my staff develop stronger business skills themselves. The best way to learn is to teach."
