About the E CITY Alumni Program

E CITY’s Alumni Program has been operating since late 2004, offering monthly activities for any student that has completed E CITY’s basic, 70-hour entrepreneurship program. Activities have varied widely, yet all have centered around furthering students’ social and/or business skills and offering them fun, supervised time with peers.

A sampling of past alumni program events includes:

  • Web site creation
  • How-to workshop on business networking
  • Educational panel presented by several entrepreneurs
  • Business dining etiquette luncheon
  • How-to lesson in the basics of golf
  • Tours of area businesses

Some of our alumni have entered national business plan competitions. E CITY has had 5 national winners who were selected as one of NFTE’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year award recipients. The following students received an all expense paid trip to Manhattan, New York where they were honored and received between $750 and $1,500 to apply towards their business or college:

  • Crystal Ramos (2004)
  • Christian Carter (2005)
  • Sahabahddin Muhammad (2006)
  • Anntwinette Martin (2007)
  • Fantashia Stevens (2008)
