E CITY's Programs

Using the proven NFTE (National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship) standards-based curriculum, E CITY teaches entrepreneurship to underserved middle and high school students.  The program improves their academic, business, technology, and life skills, and is focused on helping them understand that they can become economically self-sufficient.

Students are nominated for the program by a teacher, guidance counselor or principal and are interviewed by the E CITY staff. Parent or guardian support is also required. Students who are selected are awarded a full scholarship for the program, which typically meets 2 to 5 days a week for approximately 10-15 weeks.  Some programs are after school and others are offered during the school day as an elective class.  Please contact our Director of Growth, Mike Ruff, to find out when E CITY will be in your school:  mike.ruff@ecitycleveland.com.

There are typically 12-15 students per class and all classes are taught by local Certified Entrepreneurship Teachers who have completed a one-week intensive training program offered by NFTE.

With 70 programs already behind us and over 700 students graduated, we are excited to be moving ahead to share entrepreneurship with even more of Cleveland's youth.
