Meet Elaine Turley |
| |
 |
Elaine joined the E CITY staff at the end of August 2004, as
Creative Writer and Director of Volunteers. However, she is not new
to E CITY- she had been doing most of E CITY’s grant proposal and
newsletter writing behind the scenes since its beginning.
Elaine spent seven years working as the Volunteer Coordinator at the
Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. Prior to finding her
passion in the nonprofit sector, she worked as a legal |

assistant and patent agent for Jones, Day, Reavis &
Pogue, and also spent several years in chemical research at
The Lubrizol Corp. She holds a B.A. in chemistry from The College
of Wooster. |

Elaine is taking an increasing role in fundraising for E CITY and
hopes to find more corporate partners who will “adopt” particular
programs and provide all the funding and the needed volunteers to
help our students prepare for their culminating business plan
presentations. There is no business background in Elaine’s resume,
but she has served as a student “coach” herself, and found it to be
very rewarding |

Elaine is pleased to be a part of this energetic and committed
staff, and is as excited as the students themselves, to be in the
“can do” environment of E CITY. She most enjoys helping nonprofits
promote and celebrate their good work through her love of writing,
and sees much to be celebrated here. |
