Focus Group Gives Insights About Program Benefits

E CITY thanks Shilpa Kedar and Desikan Gandarvakottai of Cleveland Social Venture Partners, for investigating the benefits of the E CITY program through a focus group study of E CITY alumni.  The nine participants in the study have completed E CITY’s basic program, and are currently in an E CITY pilot program to gain further assistance in making their businesses successful.  During the focus group, the students identified these benefits of the E CITY program:

  • Learning to make PowerPoint presentations
  • Learning many aspects of running a business
  • Learning to write a business plan
  • Learning to manage personal finances
  • Learning to manage time
  • The E CITY experience will be helpful when applying to college
