All of
these students completed one of the seven E CITY youth
entrepreneurship programs offered in Cleveland schools this
fall. Each was named the winner in the competition held within
his/her class, and thereby qualified to compete for business
start-up capital prizes at the E CITYwide Competition.
In addition
to the many volunteers and Certified Entrepreneurship Teachers
who helped these students get this far, we thank our
volunteer judges who reviewed student business plans,
listened to the presentations, and gave thoughtful feedback:

Focus Group Gives Insights About
Program Benefits |
|
|
|
E CITY thanks
Shilpa Kedar and Desikan Gandarvakottai of Cleveland Social Venture
Partners, for investigating the benefits of the E CITY program
through a focus group study of E CITY alumni. The nine participants
in the study have completed E CITY’s basic program, and are
currently in an E CITY pilot program to gain further assistance in
making their businesses successful. During the focus group, the
students identified these benefits of the E CITY program:
- Learning
to make PowerPoint presentations
- Learning
many aspects of running a business
- Learning
to write a business plan
- Learning
to manage personal finances
- Learning
to manage time
- The E CITY
experience will be helpful when applying to college
